About Us
A community buzzing with passion
for bees and nature's gifts
The purpose of this group is to promote discussion with new and veteran bee keepers or those interested in bees and what they do for us.
It also allows help with swarms and recovery of bees when they decide to move in a little too close for some peoples comfort.
Our meetings are the First Tuesday of every month, We are holding our meeting at the American Legion Hall, located at 201 W Broadway St, Winnsboro, TX 75494
All interaction is based on experience and should remain respectful at all times as some views and methods are different.
Remember we want everyone to
Bee Happy and Bee Friendly.
Wood County Beekeepers Associations is affiliated with the Texas Beekeepers Association and generally holds monthly meetings. These local beekeeper associations present an opportunity for beekeepers to meet and discuss techniques, methods, and new discoveries while providing new educational awareness for newcomers. The larger local beekeeper associations also conduct scholarship programs for young people and elect local Honey Queens and Princesses who visit schools, gardening clubs and community groups to increase awareness of the honey bee.
Our local beekeeper association elects its own officers and conducts its affairs according to published bylaws. Meetings generally run sixty to ninety minutes depending upon the meeting agenda as determined by the officers and members
